Sunder Raj has been an integral part of the Council since 1997, serving with dedication and distinction in the role of Research Associate. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, and brings to the Council a wealth of academic insight and practical expertise.

Over the years, Mr. Raj has played a pivotal role in numerous research initiatives undertaken by the Council. His active engagement in fieldwork and his ability to independently manage complex assignments have earned him a reputation for reliability and depth in empirical research. His contributions span a wide array of developmental themes, and his work reflects a strong commitment to grassroots realities and participatory approaches.

His research interests are deeply rooted in transformative development themes such as Participatory Rural Development, Poverty Alleviation, People's Participation, Development and Displacement, and Women's Education and Empowerment.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Raj has consistently demonstrated resourcefulness and dependability across a broad spectrum of activities including research and evaluation studies, seminars, workshops, and training programmes. His enduring contributions continue to shape the Council's commissioned assignments, making him a valued and influential member of the research community.
