Dr. P. Raghupathi
Research Officer & ICSSR Senior Fellow

Dr. P. Raghupathi is an economist who has specialized in Development Economics for his doctoral thesis “Rural Development and Dalits in Andhra Pradesh: Critical Evaluation from Ambedkar’s Perspective”. Prior to joining the CSD, he worked with Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad as Assistant Professor. His research experience covers marginalized community such as millennium development goals and their impact at grassroots level specifically the Dalits, tribal land alienation in the agency regions and implications. He has published in national and international peer reviewed journals on these topics. The other areas of his research interests include quality of education in social welfare hostels, facility available in government and private schools, commercial sex workers etc.

Dr. P. Raghupathi is also a Member of Journal Reviewers Panel Journal of Economic Policy & Research, Published by Institute of Public Enterprise (ICSSR Institute), Hyderabad.

His main research interests include development economics, Labour and Agriculture & Rural Economics, political economy, and social exclusion. His other areas of research interest include interrogating the equity aspects of development - quality of education in social welfare hostels, facility available in government and private schools, commercial sex workers etc.
