Project Fellow

He has completed Ph.D. from University of Hyderabad, School of Economics, Hyderabad; and received PDF from Council for Social Development (CSD), Hyderabad funded by ICSSR, New Delhi. He handles unit-level NSSO data using statistical software program i.e., STATA and SPSS. His research areas cover a wide range of issues relating to health, education, labor, poverty, gender and disability with special reference to marginalized sections. He has published articles in two journals and one edited volume.

Using various years of Census and NSSO unit level data, I am presently working on labor force, work participation and economic activities in Telangana State with reference to gender, location and social groups.

I am working on Multidimensional Poverty Measurement in Tealangana based on NFHS-4th round and Field based for 33 districts of Telangana


  1. Successfully completed a 2-weeks faculty development programme on “Managing Online Classes and Co-creating MOOCs 3.0” Organized by Teaching Learning Centre, Ramanujan College, University of Delhi, from July 25th-10th August, 2020 and obtained Grade A
  2. Took part in the proceedings of the entire five-day webinar series on “Research Article Writing and Publications ? Advanced Concepts”, organized by IFERP, having taken place from 1st to 5th August 2020 with two hour sessions (10 hours) from 5PM-7PM each day.

  • Ph.D. - Thesis submitted to the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad on Educational and Health Attainments of Deprived Communities: A Comparative Study of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Three Villages of Andhra Pradesh for the award of the degree of Ph.D. in Economics on 12th March, 2013.

SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO RESEARCH APART FROM ACADEMIC PERIOD

  • Using the Composite Index method, I developed a research design to select 270 sample villages to carry out a field study on Telangana Social Development Report-2020 (TSDR-2020).
  •  Being PDF (ICSSR), I carried out a study on “Inequalities among Sub-Caste Groups of Scheduled Castes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States” and submitted the report to ICSSR.
  •  Working with CSD, I involved in a project titled “Mana Vooru and Mana Pranalika (Our Village-Our Plan) and published a research paper entitled “Decentralisation and Participatory Planning by PRIs in Telangana: A Study of GramaJyothi Program” using the project data.
